As good as any smartphone that circulate in this year, none of which have multicore processors on the system they have. At least until now, several devices including Apple Ipad2, 4S Iphone, Samsung and LG galaxies IIs Optimus 2X announced its release to the public. Specific to LG Optimus 2x, hanset Android has a dual core chip "Nvidia Tegra 2" which effectively behaves like two CPUs on the phone.
Qualcomm, for example, recently announced two versions of the core chip, called Snapdragon MSM8960. However, the chip will not be made into a device until 2011. Texas Instruments, also claimed to have a new dual-core chip that is OMAP 4440, which offers powerful dual-core 1.5 GHz. The company is expected to begin producing OMAP 4440 chipset in the second quarter of 2011. While some other chip is still in early stages of development, Nvidia Tegra 2 will already be available on the Optimus 2X LG phone that will be outstanding and rumors indicate that some internet tablets will also use the dual-core chips.
What exactly is the advantage "Two CPU Core" in a mobile phone? the same as doing an upgrade on a PC with the latest and greatest processor, this chip can increase the speed of the overall smartphone while maintaining optimal battery capacity. Each core nucleus is not faster than regular processor with clock speed the same, but all the calculation process is divided to two of the core processor.
This chip can improve the overall speed, handling 1080px video playback classmates without constraint, and speed up the process of loading the web pages up to 33 percent. With dual core chips, mobile phones will do two jobs such as opening an application navigation and audio streaming application running at the same time (multi-tasking).
